Underappreciated LGBTQ+ Authors and their Impact through Queer Literature

In honor of Pride Month, I’d like to highlight 4 queer authors and what made them so impactful. These writers, including poets, novelists, and essayists, authored pieces with strong political commentary regarding topics such as gender, sexuality, and racial oppression. Despite their impactful and often groundbreaking work, they have largely gone unrecognized by today’s zeitgeist.
